Family Park &
Lake Neusiedlersee

Enjoy a weekend with your family in the Family Park in St. Margarethen and the lake Neusiedler See!

About 35 minutes away from the hotel by car and just a few kilometres away from the city Rust and the lake Neusiedler See, the Family park offers on 14,5 ha a variety of attractions for children of every age.

 

If the adventure  castle, the fairy tale forest, the farm or the adventure island, at the adventure and water playground, the crag or the music theatre - here you can let off stream.

Or - how about a boat trip on the lake Neusiedlersee after the fun park? At the harbour of Rust you can rent a pedal boat or an electro-boat  or you can make a trip with a ferry boat on the steppe lake.

Park and Castle Laxenburg

The palace parc Laxenburg counts to the major historical landscape gardens in Europa and is about 14 km away from the hotel.

The castle Laxenburg was the favourite residence of the empress Maria Theresia; E mperor Franz Joseph and Sissi were here on honeymoon.

​

The park offers some experience:

  • Tour with the excursion train to the castle Franzensburg 

  • traditional ride with the ferry boat over the pond to the Franzensburg

  • Boat trip on the pond

  • duck feeding

  • big children's playground (6.000 m2)

TIP:

Take a cup of ice cream at the Eissalon Laxenburg at the crossing in front of the castle! You will not regret ist, it counts to the best of the region.

Roman City Carnuntum

Stroll on the traces of the Romans and make a time travel to the former province Pannonien.

Especially the Roman quarter with villas, thermal spring, amphitheatre and gladiator school reflect the erstwile lifestyle of the ancient world.

TIP:

Do not forget the Heidentor (triumphal arch from the years 337-361) on the way!

Our hotel garden

From bothe terraces you have a good overview of our hotel garden with its big meadow which is ideal for playing football... Balls are located in our lounge! So, let's got!

In the meantime parents can relax with a cup of coffee.

  • Natural Historic Museum
    a must for all dinosaur freaks!
     

  • Aqua Terra Zoo
    and if it would rain one day domestic and exotic fishes, sharks, piranhas, turtles, crocodiles, snakes and free flying birds and running around monkeys can be watched.
